Purpose - This study evaluates the role of Natural Resources in the Development of Economic Growth. It focuses on the Mauritanian Economic Growth situation and contributes to filling the knowledge gaps in the academic field of natural resources.Methodology/ Design - This study has pursued the qualitative method by conducting questionnaires and interviews to gather in-depth insights into Mauritania's situation. This primary data was conducted face to face and online, with general cultural questions for the sake of having a full vision of the thesis statement of the problem. Findings - Our findings show that a Natural Resource is the reason behind Mauritanian lateness in all aspects. The Mauritanian Public opinion and interviewees unanimously agree on the necessity of Managing Natural resources efficiently through developing an Educational System, Re-forming Human Resources, developing Agriculture and livestock as well as creating transformative industries in all Natural Resources sectors. Practical Implications - Based on the results, we affirm that the Mauritanian people and government should never rely upon Natural Resources as pillars of the economy.
