Recent initiative is taken as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana as the National Mission on Financial Inclusion on August 28, 2014. Its main objective is to ensure financial inclusion of the poor and rural population and to give them financial freedom and stability. It has the motto to cover all households in the country having a bank account and other banking facilities. This scheme is based on "Sab ka sath sab ka vikas" i.e. inclusive growth. It was reported that total of 7 crores bank accounts have been opened with deposits totalling more than 5000 crore rupees as of November 6, 2014. In order to achieve the target to the fullest, it needs proper implementation of the plans from the scratch in terms of mobile banking at each and every corner of the country, financial literacy and awareness, customer service and consumer protection, microfinance institutions, self help groups and so on. Moreover, self interest of both the consumers and the bankers should be prior to hit the problemof financial exclusion. Other weapons must be used to achieve the goal of inclusive financing. The problem of financial exclusion needs to be tackled with urgency if we want our country to grow.
