Twelve enclosures (fenced private grazing areas) and twelve adjacent communal openly grazed areas were selected for detail vegetation and soil parameter assessments.

The author was pursuing his B.Sc. degree from Haramaya University under Department of Animal Production in July, 2007 and his M.Sc. degree from Mekelle University in the field Livestock Production and Pastoral Development in July, 2011. Currently he has been serving as lecturer under the school of Animal and Range Science in Haramya University.
