This book develops a critical approach that aims to investigate the Role of Translation in Learning and Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language. Our study focuses on the concept of translation and the arguments in favor of its implementation withing the non-Arabic speaking contexts, as well as it is also devoted to explaining the current position of translation within the second language learning classroom. Furthermore, some pedagogical activities are suggested to be introduced within the Standard Arabic as a foreign language classroom. To concluded, the different perspectives, inquiry procedures and materials reviewed in the study are put into practice in the didactic unit in terms of activities for the Arabic as a second language, or foreign classroom.
