This book intends to expose the dilemma that the Catholic Church's adherents in Kenya face in the era of HIV/AIDS. Despite the fact that the Vatican is keenly considering the permissibility of the use of condoms for prophylaxis purposes, the Kenyan Catholic Bishops have a divergent view. They reject the use of condoms for whatever reason. This position leaves the Kenyan Roman Catholic Church's adherents in a dilemma. They are torn in between, whether to listen to the Pope or to their local pastors. This book exposes the dilemma of the Kenyan Roman Catholic Church's adherents who are torn apart on the right way to go about their sex lives in the era of the HIV epidemic. This is because HIV/AIDS has and is still claiming many lives. The book is intent into highlighting the necessity of accepting the value of scientific research in alleviating people's problems. In rejecting scientific study, the Catholic Church is in this sense not open to collaboration with other disciplines that could bring change in the society. The book is exposing the dysfunctional aspects of religion that has caught up with some religious groups in Kenya.
