While at Ayrshire College studying media analysis and production, Gavin Tudhope decided to craft a novel series in an effort to build up his storytelling repertoire in preparation for working in television. Wishing to give a relatively modern take on the fantasy genre, Gavin decided to apply some of the conventions of the now stagnant Western genre to the limitless potential that fantasy could provide.
