Laura Lee Scott has worked as a professional writer, ghostwriter, editor, publisher, and graphic designer for over 25 years, and has authored three children's picture books, as well as memoirs and picture books for others. She also enjoys writing short stories and poetry and is currently working on a number of writing projects. Laura 's work has won numerous awards, including Mom's Choice Awards, a Cascade Writing Award, and a Faith & Culture Conference Writing Award. A member of The Authors' Guild, SCBWI, Willamette Writers, Faith & Culture Writers' Connection, and Oregon Christian Writers, she has also served as an "artist in resident" and enjoys reading her books in primary school classrooms whenever she gets the chance. In her spare time, Laura enjoys walking her dogs, playing the piano, volunteering with children and the homeless, and traveling with her husband and two teenage sons.
