The second Catrin Sayer Mystery. A retired clergyman collapses in the Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow. It is thought to be a heart attack until the angina medication he took at the onset of the attack is discovered to be a placebo; it was totally ineffective. A drug 'baron' in Glasgow searches out the services of a friend of his late father, an art forger. He has a job for him. Detective Constable Catrin Sayer is now nearly a year into her assignment with the Art Crime Unit at New Scotland Yard. The journey north to Glasgow on a new case is tied to both the death of the clergyman and a rumour of theft or fraud associated with paintings by a group of artists known as 'The Scottish Colourists'.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
I live in Ontario, Canada but was born and grew up in Merseyside, England. By profession a chemist, I worked for many years as a consultant on international chemical regulation, a role with a lot of international travel. So far, I have written and published The Catrin Sayer Mysteries (10 books) covering the cases and career of a Welsh police officer working for the Metropolitan Police in London. It takes her from a rookie detective through to the rank of superintendent, and a range of criminal investigations including art crimes, scams and fraud, organized crime, undercover work and supervision of a major homicide investigation. My current work is a trilogy set in Cumbria, UK with a quite different protagonist; a community police sergeant, Harriet Calder; a widow and a part-time Methodist preacher. Canons, the first novel, was published in 2019. The second, Compline, has just been released (Sept. 2023).
