This research determines the legal, scientific and technical conditions for the application of the method of identification by superimposition of images in the national justice system, based on the Peruvian experience. Currently, in the justice systems, such as the Peruvian one, there are few consistent fiscal accusations and quite subjective judicial sentences, due to the diversity of the conclusions in the reports on image identification, presented by the official experts, mainly due to the absence of an institutional normative framework, protocol and official procedure guides. In this sense, this first protocol is proposed based on the metric characteristics of image quality and anthropological characteristics, for the identification by superimposition of images with an integral guide of procedures, for its application, here and now, in the justice systems, particularly in Peru.
