Mary Jo was born in rural Ohio and grew up with five siblings and a myriad of animals to nurse back to health and care for. The love of children and animals have sparked her inspiration for this book series. She has had the honor and privilege of raising three grown children, two sons and a daughter and is a devoted grandmother. She resides in the suburbs of Greenville, South Carolina and is always on the lookout for a new adventure.
