Carolyn Eldridge-Alfonzetti lives adjacent to bushland in suburban Sydney. Her poems, articles, and short stories for adults are inspired by everyday life and the natural world and have been published in mainstream magazines in Australia and the U.K. as well as a variety of literary anthologies. As well as her children's books, her poems and short stories for children have been published in The School Magazine since 2007. In 1997 she was awarded Writing Fellow-class membership of the Fellowship of Australian Writers N.S.W. and in 2014 received a FAW NSW Distinguished Service award. Julia Weston is an illustrator, teacher, and integration specialist.
