Dolphin Bank is a sandbank located on the edge of Christchurch Bay on the south coast of England. The bank affords natural protection for a profitable but eroding coastline that provides hundreds of millions of pounds annually to the tourist industry. This study involved analysis of high resolution bathymetry and sub bottom profile data that already existed along with sub bottom profile data acquired in 2016 as part of this project. The data was used to infer the origin, evolution and sediment transport pathways on and around Dolphin Bank.
