The book tries to bring a new approach to the subject in terms of methods and its content. The study uses the Market Economics, Public Choice and Economics of Development for analyzing the Shadow Economy. The Shadow Economy is a result of the underdevelopment, anti market ideologies and social ethics and government failures. The chronic unemployment in any underdeveloped economy contributes to build up a shadow economy. The heavy tax burdens, excessive regulations and high cost of social security on the markets create shadow economy in developed economies. Also Keynesian interventionist policies towards to market provides a climate for shadow economy. Of course the economic crimes and underground economy is a part of the Shadow economy too. The study tries to bring a new vision towards to the shadow economy in global environment.
