Welcome to "Shametown," where the canceled come to rebuild, and the locals aren't too thrilled about it! Meet Rami, a former tech startup whizkid who lost it all when a journalist accidentally cancels him with one drunken tweet. Meet Brooke, the Chicago Tribune journalist who accidentally canceled Rami and, by a twist of fate, is herself canceled soon after, leaving her with nowhere to turn except to the only person who understands what she is going through: Rami. Desperate for a fresh start and sitting on an embarrassingly large severance package, an alcohol-infused Rami decides to blow it on a ranch in Montana. Hey, still cheaper than therapy, right? He invites Brooke to join him, and they both head to the country to start anew. But they quickly discover that the locals aren't exactly welcoming - they're convinced Rami and Brooke will bring in more city folk and change their traditional American town into a "woke-mob liberal metropolis." At least, that's what Ralph and his brother-in-law Rayray think. And they will lead the charge against this threat to their way of life. Because Brooke and Rami won't be alone on the ranch for long. Other canceled individuals seeking refuge will inevitably arrive. Like Willye and her grandson Wilson, a 12-year-old who shattered the Brewers' chance at the World Series when he accidentally caught a fly ball, and Doc Hanover, a physician who lost all of his patients when he accidentally caught a beloved local dolphin while deep sea fishing. As these three and others join Rami and Brooke at the ranch, tensions escalate, with the locals and canceled individuals facing off and Rami and Brooke at the center of the storm. But it's a secret Ralph's been hiding that changes everything. Exploding with dark humor and biting satire, "The Shametown Saga" is a darkly comedic thrill ride of redemption through the world of "woke" cancel culture, rural versus urban living, and the power of community. With its witty humor, memorable characters, and unexpected twists, this book will keep you entertained from start to finish. So grab a drink, buckle up, and get ready for a wild ride with "The Shametown Saga!"
