Autorenporträt
M.N.Quirk, (Mary Nell Quirk) is a native New Yorker who has lived her entire life in Manhattan within twenty blocks of where she grew up. During childhood growing up in a Harlem tenement she spent all her free time at the local library where she developed her love for both reading and writing. She also had a love for the theater at an early age although she never could actually afford to attend. Luckily, that local library had a extensive collection of play anthologies and she devoured them all. She spent a brief time acting Off-Broadway until she realized writing was her primary interest. As Mary Anderson, she has written more than thirty novels for young people, many of which are set in New York City. When she decided to write an adult work of fiction, she was able to fully explore her love of theater and spent many happy hours researching in private libraries throughout the city.
