The focus of this manuscript is centralized in the analysis of a sample house under the energetic point of view. The shares of self-used energy, namely self-sufficiency and self-consumption, are the principal elements in comparison among the different study cases: through these percentages, it is possible to understand which factors influence the house's behavior. The house prototype is built taking into consideration the last technologies and devices in the several fields regarding the residential sector, e.g. insulation and energy generation. The main tool used for this study is the software TRNSYS: all the steps, all the hypothesis, all the expedients for the realization of the simulation are precisely expressed in order to give to the reader a complete overview on the solving method.

He was enrolled at Padua University in the faculty of Engineering. He spent the last semester in Munich where he developed the master thesis. In October 2013 he graduated in Energy Engineering.
