Ross Carey was born, raised, and lives in County Cork, Ireland. He attended University College Cork and lives in Douglas. He has worked with children most of his life and was inspired by their joy and optimism to work in children's literature. Though he has been writing since he himself was a child, The Shark Detective is his first published book.
