Robert Westfield was born outside of Washington, D.C., and grew up in Japan, Hawaii, California, West Virginia, and Maryland. He has lived in New York since 1990 and given tours of the city since 1997. Suspension, his debut novel, was published by Harper Perennial and won two Lambda Literary Awards.
