They say that there are those who go through life in search of a cause, something to embrace that will provide the satisfaction of some internal psychological shortcoming. For Gerard Wiener, there was never an internal drive to fulfill a burning void in his life; a void that needed a cause to quench the thirst for mental relief stemming from some pent up anxiety or a psychological scar carried over from childhood.
