Today, the urban conglomerate of Polish Silesia finds itself experimenting a worldwide phenomenon: the continuous blurring of the spatial and conceptual borders between town, city, metropolis and megalopolis; a growing mixture of spaces, activities, interrelations and connectivities that challenge the traditional -and more assessable- image of human settlement.
