The story is inspired by the relationship between her goddaughter, Abigail (Abby) Hope, "Bumble Boo" and her husband, Vince, "Doe Doe."This book, "The Scary Sound" was inspired by a funny story with Abby and Jenna, as Jenna has an "epic" snore. When Abby first heard her snoring, she couldn't believe how loud (and how funny) it was. This evolved into the recording the snoring, which was played back many times. This was the source of much laughter and silly stories. It seemed the perfect basis for the next book in the series and the introduction of the new character, "Te Te" which is how Abby refers to Jenna."It is so much fun to bring these characters to life and to see them grow and evolve.
