The problem is to seek the importance of wearing traditional attires and if the Tsonga attires still prevalent and rave amongst youth at Mphambo. The aim of the study is to investigate the positive effects of the Tsonga attire among the youth in Mphambo village, Greater Malamulele municipality in Limpopo province. The study was qualitative research in nature where purposive sampling method was used to select seven participants. Thematic method was used to organize themes. It was discovered that few of the youths staying in rural areas wear traditional attire than those who stay in urban areas because those who stay in urban areas prefer Western attires than traditional attires. The study showed that the youth enjoy the respect and honor of wearing Tsonga cultural attire (xibelani). The study also reveals that traditional attires stand out to present one's identity and belonging.
