Autorenporträt
Teacher and writer Marnie David is the author of The Confident Teen and Deal With It. Her writing aims to foster confidence in tweens, teens, and even adults, equipping them with the tools they need to overcome their self-doubt, anxiety, and fear, and build their self-confidence day by day. With a master's degree in education, Marnie has been a public school teacher for 18 years. She's as passionate about working with her students to build their confidence as she is about teaching them subject knowledge, and has spent years developing creative ways to do this. Marnie describes herself as a 'recovering awkward person', and having struggled with self-esteem issues as a young adult herself, she has always been determined to make sure that both her students and her own children have a better experience than she did. She recognizes the difficulties presented by adolescence and is determined to inspire young people to fight forward with confidence. Having witnessed the positive impact her strategies have had on her students, she began combining her skills as a writer with her experiences from the classroom to produce books that would help more teenagers become their best selves. Marnie lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, two sons, and their beloved cockapoo.
