West, Bradford, Hoyt and Salinas have returned home after graduating from their basic training camp into God's Army with instructions to expect the assistance of an assigned mentor to guide them through their advanced training. Faced with the familiarity of home, each one struggles against the challenge to live as a new creation in Christ. West conquers her resistance against feelings and emotions as she sets out on a global excursion to solidify her call to travel the world and help strengthen the saints. As an employee in the Illinois Department of Corrections, Bradford fights to serve the Lord behind bars. Hoyt faces the real world challenge of adulthood as he finds his place in the work force while still learning how to serve his king. Salinas cannot squelch the call back to his homeland but wonders how his family is going to cooperate. Each of these soldiers lean into the Lord and strengthen their gifts as they discover their purpose for His kingdom. After weathering the storms of their advanced training, these soldiers must now serve out that purpose and become veterans that leave a legacy.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Since accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior on April 1, 1990, J.M. Cranford has served as a U.S. Army veteran logistical officer stateside in both active and reserve capacities during the First Gulf War, the Somalia Conflict, and the draw down in Bosnia. In pursuit of her love for missions, she submitted to the urging of the Holy Spirit to attend Bible college where she received a Master's degree in Bible and Theology. With her growing passion for spiritual formation and the transformative workings of the Holy Spirit, she began to create her Marching with the Master series to help communicate the deep Biblical concepts of the spiritual disciplines with a fictional blanket worn in the context of real life.
Her first book in the series, The Recruits: Answering the Call, introduced the main characters as they too surrendered to Jesus as Savior and began their training into God's Army. The Soldiers: Donning the Armor follows the same characters as they try to negotiate life as new creations.
She lives in Pontiac, Illinois with her husband, Scott. They have five grown children, nine grandchildren, and the tenth on the way.
