Mina Kousa, a humble servant of God, was born in Alexandria, Egypt, a country rich with historical and Biblical sites, including the Great Library of Alexandria, which was one of the most significant and largest libraries of the ancient world, with collections of books, lecture halls, meeting rooms, and gardens. The library held writings by many of the most famous thinkers of the ancient world. Egypt is the home of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. Mina is proud to be a deacon of the local Coptic Orthodox Church in Bayonne, NJ. The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria was established by the apostle and evangelist, St. Mark, in AD 42. St. Mark started the oldest catechetical school in the world, The Catechetical School of Alexandria. Alexandria also has the oldest monastery in the world, which the author has personally visited, The Monastery of Saint Anthony. Egypt was the only place in the world where the Holy Family could go as a place of refuge after their flight from Judea. Mina received his BA in history from Kean University and his teaching license from the State of New Jersey. His is currently nearly done with his MA degree in history from Kean University, and will shortly start his doctorate in history.
