R. Craig Sautter is the author, co-author, editor of 10 other books, including Expresslanes Through the Inevitable City (poems, december press). As "poet-in-residence" for public schools in Upstate New York and for the Illinois Arts Council, he conducted poetry workshops with over 20,000 K-12 students. For nearly four decades, he has taught courses in philosophy, politics, history, literature, and creative writing at DePaul University. His teaching career began with 3rd graders from Harlem. He was 47th president of the Society of Midland Authors and served two terms on the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Advisory Board. He also writes short stories, several of which appeared in the Chicago Quarterly Review.
