Marlet Cox Becnel was born and raised in Edgard, Louisiana. She currently resides in New Orleans with her husband and their two sons. Marlet has composed poetry for over twenty years. The Space Between Our Tears is Marlet's debut collection of published poems. In addition to her poetry, Marlet is also authoring a novel loosely based on her life.
