In this her second collection of poetry, Galer writes from the shadow of illness but also from the perspective of spiritual empowerment. As shaman and survivor she shares her awareness of the larger conditions of the earth, asks us as caretakers of not only ourselves but of the planet, to tread gently and always in the steps of truth as the ancestors would have wanted. Generous, forgiving, and thoughtful, her poems call us to assess our position in the universe and move forward. Spellbinding and demanding, Galer explores healing and destiny with a clear eye.
