Toon Tellegen, author and poet, is one of the Netherlands' most celebrated writers. His animal stories have been translated into 19 languages and are loved by children and parents the world over. He lives in Amsterdam, and he loves reading, telling stories, and huge, sweet cakes. Jessica Ahlberg, daughter of the acclaimed author-illustrator team of Janet and Allen Ahlberg, studied at Winchester School of Art and has gone on to illustrate several books for children. She likes, among other things, writing letters, looking at maps, reading books, doing DIY projects, and making cakes. She lives in Brighton, England, and loves walking by the sea and sometimes swimming in it. Translated by Martin Cleaver
