The Theory of Fields, and then the whole Standard Model, concern particles in relativistic motion. There an atom is ionized and nuclei and particles are brought to collide at relativistic energies. The definition of the Electro-Weak theory and the concept of symmetry breaking are just the prelude to all the physics behind Supersymmetry and Gravitation, and eventually to the Grand Unification Theories (GUT).

Autorenporträt
Andrea López de Recalde, born in Italy (Rome) in 1962, graduated in Physics, in 1988, at "La Sapienza" University of Rome. He is at present researching on programmes carried on at LHC and on advanced Grand Unification Theories. He is involved as well in the exploration of new models on Gravitation and Quantum Gravity.
