About the Author and Illustrator The Accisano siblings are a brother-sister creative duo from Seattle, Washington. Keith, the older brother, teachers classic literature at a private high school. When he's not doing that, he likes to write poems and stories (or both at once, as in The Star of Untandake), and spend time exploring the outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Julie, the younger sister, is a freelance artist whose many interests range from drawing fictional flowers to studying Japanese culture. She works part-time on the office staff of a local middle school, and has worked as a translator for Japanese students.
