The Book captures the nature and character of the state in Nigeria as being beset with perpetual factionalisation, in-group fighting amongst the active and dominant forces in the political economy. It also depict that most political conflicts and struggles are directly linked to the power struggles and in-fighting contest within the ruling class in Nigeria. These struggles often entail the mobilisation of the people s ethnicity and identity through manipulation, where as the people are hardly ever aware of the real essence of the struggles thus creating and perpetuating pervasive ethnic conflicts in Taraba State
