ROGER KING is Visiting Research Fellow at the Association of Commonwealth Universities. He was previously Vice Chancellor at the University of Lincoln and Humberside until he retired in 2001.
GAVIN KENDALL is Associate Professor, Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
