Children are brought up in diverse yet specific formal physical and social environments known as preschool centres; where they are engaged from preschool age in socially meaningful and appropriate activities where their development is likely affected by array of social factors which are either natural or a measure of external circumstances. Drawing from both empirical findings as well as interview reports, this book explore and presents the day to day engagement and developmental experiences of preschool children in Nigeria with inclusion of overage children.
