This research set out to investigate Jordan's attempt to becoming a Knowledge Based Economy (KBE) through developing its Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector. Hence, the research undertaken in this dissertation focuses on telling the story of the ICT sector in or what is now referred to as a cluster in Jordan. To tell the story of the ICT cluster and the country's quest to achieving KBE, fieldwork was undertaken by the researcher to better understand the ICT cluster, analyse the ecosystem surrounding it, and devise strategies to further strengthen its position. The research also resulted in the identification of a National Innovation System (NIS) around the cluster which has not yet been fully activated; NIS strategies will be recommended to the ICT cluster growth in Jordan, and ultimately assist the country to achieve the state of KBE.
