Joshua Carlile grew up in a rural town outside of Portland Oregon with his four siblings. After a series of tragic events in a relatively short period of time he decided to become a Santa Claus portrayal artist; in order to once again see eyes light up and faces smile at Christmas. It is his portrayal of Santa Claus that has inspired him to write. Drawing from his own experiences and traditions along with cultural traditions around the world, he writes mainly Christmas oriented stories. Though he has several short stories, childrens books, a biography, and other novels in progress; The story of Yulbock is his first publication.
