Written for children five to eight years old -- but a delight for all readers -- My Favorite Saint Stories tells about the world's greatest heroes: the saints. Focusing not so much on historical details about the saints but on a few memorable events in the lives of each, it is not so much a collection of biographies as a storybook. As such, the 40+ brief tales in it are not written to catechize children or inform them of the many details we know about the saints; rather, they are intended to awaken in children a deep admiration for those good souls -- the kind of admiration children have for King Peter of Narnia or Frodo or Robin Hood; the kind of admiration that sends young children off in a flurry to find a costume; the kind that begins a relationship today that extends into tomorrow, the next day, the day after that, and ever on into heaven, with the saints in eternity. Here are delightful stories that will spark the imagination of children, move their hearts, and inspire their souls -- in a word, lead them to fall in love with the saints.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
As a little girl, Elizabeth Hanna Pham loved storybook heroes, oftendressed in costume, and always hoped to write storybooks of her own one day. Elizabeth grew up in Atlanta, the city in the forest, where she attended Catholic schools and developed a deeper love for her Faith, her family, music, festivities, and philosophy. She attended the University of Georgia, where she met her future husband, himself a shining knight, who swept her off her feet and married her a week after graduation. They live in Atlanta with their four little boys, who also love dressing in costume and playing in the forest.
