For decades, there's an ongoing debate of whether the Resource-Based View and the Industrial Organization theoretical perspectives should be incorporated into a company's strategic management process. A well conducted self evaluation of a company's strategic management process and its strategic implementations are essentials in helping the company to determine its future economical success or failure within their industry with particular environmental conditions. The primary objective of this book is to assess and critically evaluate the importance of using the RBV as a valid theoretical perspective in the strategic management process through investigating several selected companies in different industries that are based in Hong Kong. This book offers recommendations for further research not only specifically for the four case studies in Hong Kong, which acts as a valuable strategic management tool, but also for any organizations place in different industries with local and international recognitions in enabling them to conduct their self evaluations more efficiently in their strategic management processes and to determine their future economical success within their industries.
