There are different ways of conceiving Handball and the other Collective Sports Modalities (CSM). We will start from the Strategic-Tactical Conception in order to propose a certain way of conceiving, appreciating, understanding and dealing with these CSMs in the teaching-learning-living-training process. We will emphasize the possible dialogue between the strategic-tactical conception and the proposal to train intelligent players. Another aspect to be taken into account is that in both art and sport, among other human activities, there is the possibility of developing creative intelligence. Our aim is to discuss these potentialities from the perspective of seeking other power relations between coaches and players, but also to seek to play the game in its most developed and complex form, not limiting ourselves to an impoverished experience with it; this also justifies the reflection we propose to make here. Although quite essayistic, the literature and analysis based on how the Brazilian handball national teams are working contribute to giving concreteness to the reflections, and in this way, discussing the case for training intelligent players in Brazilian handball at the moment.
