Mark James Miller is a novelist, columnist, and teacher. He grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California at Irvine. He teaches English at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California, where he was Instructor of the Year in 2015. His columns have appeared in five newspapers and online magazines. He lives in Arroyo Grande, California, with his wife Carol. Always a history aficionado, The Summer Soldiers is his third novel, with more to come.
