The power elite do not trust anything or anyone even among themselves. Until 1990, the number of Burundian residing outsides as refugees was mostly one ethnical group. In contrast, today, none of Burundian, even the top leaders feel secure. This work clarifies and highlights the causes and possible solutions to bring back the trust among all citizens. Mpawenimana Abdallah Saidi is currently a PhD student in International Islamic university Malaysia since 1999. Born in Burundi in 1969, he did his primary and secondary education in his country.
