Jennifer Petrone is an inspiring writer seeking to instill positive values and beliefs in others. She does this by painting the light, focusing on the good, and teaching us that we are only restricted by what we believe we can achieve. An eternal optimist, a lover of nature, she is forever a student of life, seeking always to learn, grow and understand the complexities we each face as individuals and as a society. She is a transgender woman who began her transition in late 2010 documenting her journey with her first book titled "My Amazing Journey Finding My Truth." Published in 2014 under her old name J A Putnam it was a chronology of her life events up to the time of her discovery and focused not on her unexpected epiphany but the recognition that we are all on the same amazing journey. Our circumstances are different but we seek the same things...to love and be loved, to live a life filled with happiness, to be treated with kindness and dignity....and to find fulfillment in our lives by being our authentic selves and doing what brings us joy. This book "The Sun Is Shining" picks up where her last book left off looking at the successive years since the acceptance of her truth and the joy it has brought her. She currently resides in Seattle, WA with her three Labrador Retrievers Coopah, Blizzard and Jaxx. She enjoys an active life in the great outdoors, and can often be found wandering the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, hiking, biking, climbing and exploring. She is an avid fitness lover who participates in dance and cross fit programs. She is a musician, singer, songwriter and sometime performer who also enjoys photography, cooking, gardening, and a nice glass of wine while spending time with family and friends.
