Autorenporträt
Elmore Leonard was born in New Orleans in 1925. He served in the South Pacific during the Second World War and began to write while at the University of Detroit. Initially he wrote Westerns, most famously the story that became 3:10 to Yuma, before beginning his extraordinary sequence of contemporary crime novels in the late 1960s.
