Xavier Villalba obtained a PhD in Catalan Linguistics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), where he is currently professor and head of the Dept. of Catalan Philology. He has published on the syntax/information structure interface, and on exclamative sentences in international journals and reference collective books.
