Autorenporträt
Charles Perrault, geboren 1628 in Paris, gestorben 1703 in Paris, wurde vor allem durch seine Gedichte- und Märchensammlung berühmt. Er hat das Genre der contes de fees in Frankreich popularisiert und deutsche Autoren wie die Brüder Grimm oder Ludwig Bechstein maßgeblich beeinflusst. Nach seinem Jurastudium wurde er Anwalt, Berater von Ludwig XIV. und später Oberaufseher der königlichen Bauten. Perrault war ebenfalls Mitglied der Academie Francaise.
