This book was structured from the methodological outline of a scientific investigation with results analysed in the field of continuing education about the teacher as a person, in the context of early childhood education. We emphasise that the problem situation arose from a concern about the importance of looking at the teacher as a person during continuing education in the metropolitan region of Recife - PE. We reflected that as long as the education system doesn't think about the people of these teachers, who need to be listened to, there will be no change in public school teaching. Since, when we look at the person of the teacher during continuing education, we realise and confirm that the students benefit from the teaching/learning process.
