This research aimed to know the reality and social needs of the accompanying mother of a child with heart disease who is hospitalized. It was used as an instrument of data collection, the Tent of Tale, integrative practice of health care, which brings stories of lives told through affective objects. It is brought in this research, the role of the social worker in health, given that it acts in the "social issue" of these families for the guarantee of rights.
