"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing..." - Walt Disney Kiara Shaw is a Licensed Vocational Nurse who was born and raised in the sunny climes of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is currently studying at Grand Canyon University for her BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree. She intends to one day become a Nursing Instructor. Still, recently she has added the title of author to her list of achievements. Having developed a love of reading at a young age, when her father would read her bedtime stories, Kiara then started writing her own poetry at the age of 10. From there, she moved into writing for children and has now just finished her first novel. The Terror on Moosehead Island is a supernatural thriller where the main protagonist writes subconsciously about gruesome killings that come true. Desperate to find a way to stop the killings, she enlists the help of a witch who tells her an evil demon from another dimension is trying to take over the island on which she lives. In her free time, Kiara loves reading, writing, collecting comic books, and watching football. She also enjoys spending time with her bulldog, Hennessey, and would like to continue to write in the future, while still carrying on with her nursing career.
