The XXth century was an important century rich in socio-historical events: the two world wars, the economic crisis, the scientific and technological progress...etc. In this context emerged one of the most important pole of the French language: Colette, the author of our GIGI corpus. After a thorough reading of this novel, we set ourselves the goal of verifying the following hypotheses: - Is GIGI not a novel of testimony relating Paris of 1900? - Is there not a resemblance between the author's life and the story of our text? - And finally: Isn't it difficult to classify the work in a specific genre? Doesn't it present a generic plurality or generic explosion?
