Eden Phillpotts was an English author and playwright, celebrated for his prolific writing during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in 1862, he became known for his novels, short stories, and plays, many of which explore the intricacies of human relationships. His writing is marked by rich descriptions and a lyrical style, capturing the essence of his characters and their experiences. Among his notable works are - Sons of the Morning, The River, and The Human Boy. In ""Sons of the Morning,"" he explores human relationships and spiritual themes through a cast of characters navigating personal dilemmas, set against a richly described natural backdrop. Phillpotts was also an advocate for the arts and took a keen interest in social issues, his contributions to literature, especially in the context of nature writing and regionalism, have earned him a place in the literary canon. He passed away in 1960.
